The graph below shows how the average employed person spends their time on a work day (ages 25-54).
8 hours per day (or more) 5 days per week (or more) for about 50 years (or more). That’s what your education system taught you to do…
- Get an education
- Get a job
- Work full-time for 50 years
Which means most of your waking life is for sale…
I’m not going to use the words ‘Financial Slave’ today.
I’m just going to explain why (and how) it happens.
It started like this:
The education system was highly developed during the industrial boom. Back then we needed to create workers – it made sense – but since then our education system hasn’t moved forward much.
The rest of the world has.
These days we don’t need more workers.
We need more leaders creating work.
This is why so many millennials get confused when their education tells them to get a job – but when they look around all they see is people earning an income online being themselves.
So I don’t agree with selling my time…
…and you know who else doesn’t agree?
The Richest People On The Planet:
People like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and Richard Branson – all dropped out of the education system, and all earned billions of dollars selling products instead of time.
But what are normal people like us supposed to do, anyway?
- What if you didn’t create iPhones?
- What if you didn’t make Microsoft?
- What if you didn’t invent Facebook?
Did you?
Yeah, neither did I….
…but I still manage to sell “value” instead of time, and it is the single reason I can travel the world, work when I want, and still earn my keep – even if I’m lost at sea.
